With a real passion for healthy, lighter fare, Sophie’s menu paves the way for an eclectic range of dishes ranging from crudo, small plates, starters, salads to mains comprised of fresh seafood prepared a la plancha. Menu highlights include sea urchin, chilli and garlic spaghetti with bottarga shavings; baked spiced Cornish crab with jalapeno hollandaise and sour dough croutes; and poached sea trout with oyster mayonnaise, cucumber pickle and warm crushed new potatoes.
For the more carnivorous, a selection of meat specialties such as the Gloucester Old Spot pork chop with celeriac gratin, apple jelly and ‘Waldorf’ salad hits the spot, and pretty desserts including the elderflower jelly with honey parfait, strawberries and shortbread will keep the sweet tooth satisfied. Store cupboard items such as pasta, jams and pickles will all be lovingly handmade at the restaurant.
