Designed by Ed Rawlings Architects, with interiors with Jim Walrod, Thompson LES radiates the creative undercurrent of its neighborhood. Among the hotel’s edge-defining backdrops are its façade, which embodies the ultimate in clean, industrial New York. The hotel's 141 rooms are unmatched by those at hotels in Lower Manhattan, featuring custom-made light-boxes by Lee Friedlander and graphic paintings by Ryan McGinness, rooftop pool displaying an image of Andy Warhol, and creative by Gerard Malanga. Thompson LES’s 18 stories also house a labyrinth of social hotspots such as an outdoor pool and bar, Above Allen, a private outdoor-indoor terrace bar open year round, a 1,200-square-foot fitness and renewal center offering saunas, massage, facial and body treatments, and the renowned Blue Ribbon Sushi Izakaya.
