The Resort at Squaw Creek, Lake Tahoe has just unveiled a 1,500-square-foot hydroponic rooftop garden, Rooftop Roots. Stocked with an array of veggies including onions and radishes and herbs from basil to mint, the garden will provide garnishes for cocktails served at the property as well as ingredients for dishes served at on-site eateries including Sandy’s Pub and Cascades. Guests of our green hotel can also participate in a series of mixology classes with herbs culled from the rooftop garden and learn how to recreate recipes at home. At home, wow dinner guests with cocktail recipes (think inventive concoctions and garnishes) learned from the pros.
