Washington, D.C. is filled with museums for every type of traveler and enthusiast. For budding broadcast journalists, or those who just appreciate a good story or the nightly news, be sure to visit Newseum. Inside, explore exhibits such as 1966: Civil Rights at 50 with an in-depth look at civil rights events, and the Berlin Wall Gallery with eight, 12-foot high original sections of the wall (making it the only museum outside of Germany to house the sections.) Photography buffs can peruse a collection of photographs by lauded cameraman Ted Polumbaum whose work includes Ted Kennedy, Julia Child, Coney Island, and a rematch between boxers Muhammed Ali and Sonny Liston in 1965.
