If you’ve ever wanted to channel an astronaut, the Space Center Houston is a must-see. At this mega facility (there’s more than 400 things to do), take a tram tour of Nasa Johnson Space Center through Rocket Park, home of a Saturn V rocket, or peruse paraphernalia and space artifacts such as actual space suits worn by astronaut’s including Pete Conrad (the third man to walk on the moon), and John Young (on the first shuttle mission in 1981), and the Apollo 17 Command Module, a full-size Skylab Training module. Insider tip: Allow plenty of time to explore the Center, and don’t leave without checking out the Space Trader gift shop stocked with astronaut ice cream, space suit costumes, and numerous space-related books.
